HOWELL

TOMMIE ELIZABETH HOWELL was born on 24 August 1866 in Webster Parish, Louisiana, and died on 18 May 1930 (1) at Plain Dealing, Louisiana.  On 17 October 1883, at Spring Hill, Louisiana, she married James Bryant Keoun (see Keoun), who was born on 19 August 1858 in Ft. Deposit, Alabama, and died on 11 January 1945 (1) in Shreveport, Louisiana. The children of Tommie and James are listed under "Keoun." Tommie Elizabeth was the daughter of

THOMAS ISAAC HOWELL was born on 15 October 1832 and died on 5 November 1893 at Spring Hill, Louisiana. (2) He married, first, Emily Lane who was born on 10 October 1830 and died on 31 January 1889. (2) They are both buried in the Spring Branch Cemetery in Spring Hill, Louisiana. The Lane family owned land at Cotton Valley, Louisiana.

Thomas Isaac Howell received original land grants under both Presidents Grover Cleveland and James Buchanan. (3-4)

Tommie Elizabeth (see above) was their only child to grow to maturity.
